Every Tuesday morning, Lamastre is a hive of activity! This weekly market, steeped in 400 years of history, brings the town's central squares to life, bringing together between 120 and 150 vendors, depending on the season. It offers an impressive variety of stalls: clothing, accessories, handicrafts, local produce, as well as everyday objects and unusual finds. Whether you're looking for Ardèche specialities, souvenirs or just something you've fallen in love with, this market has it all.
A veritable institution, it attracts locals and visitors alike every week, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The stalls are brimming with color, fragrance and energy, making this an essential part of your Lamastre vacation.
From mid-July to mid-August, for an original experience without the constraints of driving or parking, climb aboard a Billard du “Train de l'Ardèche ”. This train, departing from Tournon-Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, winds its way through the magnificent landscapes of the Doux valley, offering breathtaking views and a friendly atmosphere at every stop. Whether you embark in Tournon, Colombier, Boucieu-le-Roi or Arlebosc, this morning trip is a real invitation to discover the treasures of the region. Arriving in Lamastre at 10am, you'll have plenty of time to explore the market at your own pace and fill your basket with local flavors: artisanal charcuterie, picodons, chestnuts, sun-kissed fruit and many other local delights.
Farmer's Market
Every Saturday morning, all year round, 15 to 30 (very) local producers set up shop and liven up Lamastre's Place Seignobos, making this market a not-to-be-missed event. A true guarantee of quality, this small farmers' market offers an authentic selection of local produce typical of the region, guaranteeing freshness and flavor. Seasonal fruits, fresh vegetables, tasty cheeses, artisanal charcuterie, fragrant honeys and many other delights are displayed on the colorful stalls, inspiring you to concoct new recipes and savor the best of our terroir. Désaignes market
Every Friday evening from April to October, the Désaignes market offers a unique experience combining conviviality and authenticity. Located in the heart of a charming medieval village classified as a “Village de caractère”, this weekly event is a real invitation to discover the riches of the local terroir.
Local producers offer not only the sale of their products, but also tastings, creating a direct link between the consumer and artisan know-how. On the stalls, you'll find a varied selection of local treasures: freshly harvested fruit and vegetables, authentic fruit pastes, local beers brewed with passion, smooth chestnut cream, mature goat's cheeses and many other delights.
Once a month, the market takes on an even more festive dimension with themed evenings such as “Barbecue” or “Patates en folies”.
