The markets
4 markets a week to stock up on fresh produce!
Every Tuesday morning, Lamastre is a hive of activity! Depending on the season, 120 to 150 merchants set up shop for the morning and liven up the town's central squares. This weekly ritual has been going on for 400 years (!!), which makes it the must-see market of your holiday! In July and August, to make the moment more unusual, you can take a «Train de l’Ardèche» billiard and go to Lamastre from Saint-Jean-de-Muzols for the duration of the market!
On Friday evenings, from April to October, local producers offer the sale and direct tasting of their products. Nestled in the heart of the medieval village of Désaignes, classified as a "Village of Character", this local market is a must-see!
On Saturday mornings, all year round, 15 to 30 (very) local producers set up shop and enliven the Place Seignobos in Lamastre. On this small farmers' market, the smell of seasonal fruit is delicious and inspires new recipes!
On Sunday mornings, you can go to the market in Gilhoc-sur-Ormèze. Let your senses guide you and enjoy the charm of a village market. Local producers come to help you discover the specialities and assets of their region.
